Coline van Everdingen qualified as a medical doctor in 1993 and as specialist in Public Health in 2001.

Working as an independent researcher, she conducted interviews in a sample of the Dutch homeless service users in 2015-2017. A total of 436 interviews were held in different types of facilities in 7 cities.

As a PhD candidate at Maastricht University, she now uses this data in the Homeless People Treatment and Recovery (HOP-TR) study to describe and analyze their health and needs in the context of the current system and care provision.
